Dr. Tanya Peters earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Magna Cum Lade) from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She then completed her Master of Science, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University in New York. There her studies and clinical work focused on underprivileged adults and adolescents.
After moving to Los Angeles, Dr. Peters completed a one-year APA internship working with adolescents and young adults at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles – Division of Adolescent Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Peters completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles (WILA). At WILA, she received in-depth psychoanalytic training while working with adults and couples.
